The Declaration of Acapulco was approved

ACAPULCO, Guerrero (OEM-Informex).- During the 3rd Convention of Pan-American Olympic Sport, was approved, by unanimity, the Declaration of Acapulco. Mr. Mario Vazquez Raña, president of PASO, presided the reunion where after the reading of the document, some Ministers of Sport participated. The declaration counts with the approbation of the president of IOC, Jacques Rogge, and establish recognize and respect the rules that regulate his functions and competence areas; the need of reach the absolute respect to the Olympic Charter and the legislation, and also provide the mutual support that guarantee the accomplish of the responsibilities. Was established that the governmental organisms will bring all the facilities and will collaborate to the ODEPA and their member committees fulfills their duties and activities in the national Olympic sport. PASO and their National Olympic Committees will offer all the facilities and greater collaboration to the governmental sport organisms, within the framework of his competition, develops to the maximum of their possibilities the sport and the physical activities. The parts agree in the convenience of form a Mixed Commission integrated by members designated by PASO and the American Council of Sport to regulate, coordinate and supervise the fulfillment of the content of the present Declaration. Finally was settled down that the use of the present Declaration will be indefinite. The will of the parts is to solve any type of conflict through the dialogue and the mutual understanding. The participants were satisfied by the agreements, and with the desire of Guadalajara receive the 4th Convention of Pan-American Sport, at 2009. |
